i happen to fly over, and BUY a whole TGM3 machine.

now, i take out the quarter thingy, make it so it's a free game, and set it up in a public place: like a bowling alley / pool hall / bar type thing, and just leave it there for people to play FOR FREE.

first of all i know it's totally illegal, but do you think more and more people get into it.

i know i'm one of the few who only got into it cause i happened to type "tetris" in on youtube and saw the tgm2 GM video. And you can guess how many of me there are. how catchy do you think this can get?

  2. Actually most of us discovered the game through some sort of superplay video. In regards to your question, I don't think the game would do well. We found out that an Italian arcade had TGM3, and yet, nobody Italian even found their way here to tell us about it. I guess it's conceivable some local people liked the game but didn't speak English.

Hell, I've got a Ti machine and none of my friends or relatives have any interest in it. Though some like to watch me play.

If you're in the US, I've noticed the vast majority of people here [Edit 2: For clarification, I mean the US, not the TC community.] don't like to use their brains for anything harder than forming a coherent sentence. So, sadly, you probably won't get too many people. Unless, of course, you put it in an area known for hardcore gamers and/or puzzle fanatics.

Just out of curiosity, how much does a TI machine cost?

    [Edit: $2,000 sound about right? http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m49029435 ]

    no.

  5. That auction contains only the game and Type X system, not the arcade cabinet. And 200,000 YEN is significantly more than I paid for that. And I bought it from a store, not an auction, which I'd expect to be more expensive if anything. Maybe the price has gone up?
