I have no idea if I'm just tired or he was just very good at manipulating his blocks, but I just played somone named zero/???? and they were going at what looked to be 2-3 handicap speed while we were playing 2p wifi...anyway, question: Is it possible to use AR for tetris yet?

*nub question I know...but I was completely surprised*

*surprised to the point that i let myself just lose so i could watch the speed of his blocks, and after 2nd game I think he caught on and d/ced on third match*

It's been possible for months. There are many cheaters online, but this is the first time I've heard of this one. Anyhow, 1g should be an advantage in my opinion.

Blah, you didn't happen to notice what kind of garbage he was getting did you? did it look favorable? i think a cheater would focus on cheating that way rather than increasing the speed. i agree with digital that increasing the speed alone would pose no real advantage. and who would take the time to figure out how to make things harder [IMG] then again sometimes you see crazy things happening on your opponent's screen due to lag and what not.

  4. From what I remember, Needle plays Tetris DS a lot better when he's been hit with a mushroom. Or maybe the player in question is using AR to deliberately make it more challenging?

I always considered the garbage to be around 2.5 handicap, but not the speed.

The speed does increase in time. I'm sure you probably knew that. I've hardl played 2 player, and I definitely have played one game long enough for the speed to be near 20G.

Search 'I Block Cheater' on Youtube, and you'll find a decent number of videos. I like I block cheaters, because they're usually total Tetris nubs and are incredibly slow even with only I-pieces. A lot are very beatable as they can't stack or clear garbage to save their lives, and tend to misdrop a lot. They usually have pretty high ratings to leech points off too.

Then there's the players who can save their ratings in case they lose, or like Pluto, change them altogether. They mess up the leaderboards, but to come across them personally is a bit of a jackpot in terms of rating.

  5. I don't own an Action Replay or anything of that sort. I've gotten much shittier anyways though, since I haven't played that game decently for almost like half an year.
