Hello to all Tetris Concept contributors! I would like to let you all know, that the Tetris Concept Wiki has been successfully exported and added to InGameDex. We have credited Tetris Concept on our Affiliates page. Thanks to everyone who has been apart of Tetris Concept. Your information continues to help the greater gaming community! We invite all gamers to add further gaming content to the InGameDex.
very nifty! but i feel compelled to suggest that this will eventually create two separate wikis that will need to be reconciled, either concurrently with each update, or cumulatively in weekly/monthly/yearly intervals. perhaps a simple link would be more practical?
That's my thought. We're not exactly static... Will someone from ingamedex periodically update the relevent tetris articles?
Plus their site has ads, so they are profiting from our work. Maybe we should change the license on our wiki so that others can use the content, but not profit from it? we may as well put ads on our wiki.
Oh man, check it out. These guys still have a really old logo I made for the wiki. http://ingamedex.com/?title=Affiliate/TetrisConcept.com It's hideous!
Google Ads can be unobtrusive and pretty profitable. Also, on a Tetris wiki, they'd most likely all be Tetris-related too.
Hey everyone, sorry for not replying a bit sooner. My wife, Jacqueline, made the original post. I'm Christopher. The idea behind igdx is to promote the content of all type of game information. As of now, the only people behind igdx is me and my wife, with the help of a few friends here and there. The ads are only up so I can get my hot water back and keep the electric on. But i barley made the first $1 today, so that isn't something to think we're making bank on. Though I do plan however that it will become a more reliable resource, but I have no intention of hoarding it. I'm just starting this project, I doubt I'll be the one with the most articles. Our goal is to hold seasonal contest in which the winners get the rewards. Prizes, cash, and percentage of the revenue. We're still working on the exact rules, but it'll do with the group/person with the most contributions. I would envision tetrisconcept to become official affiliated with igdx because its the best wiki for tetris information. No need to compete or do the work twice over. If this were to happen igdx would be more then willing to give towards the TC project. This includes, but not limited to cash donation, shits, mugs, etc. We're just gamers wanting to bring more gamers together. We welcome all of you to the project. Any profits made go directly back to the people who make it happen. So why not become official affiliates/partners? ~Christopher Pollard
i know what i want lol Anyways, I personally have no problem with you using our content. But I don't think TC members will be interested in making sure both wikis are up to date. <EDIT> curse you mat... i'm too slow today
leave it to me to make silly typos. if you want the shits... i guess ill see what i can do, but i personally hate it when i get the shits.
tetris concept is entirely independent (though community contribution-driven). thanks for the offer, but there will not be any affiliation or partnership. this is to protect the website's integrity and contributers. of course, thank you very much for promoting tc (which is why the wiki's policy is the way it is-- attribution is great, even if someone else profits). By the way Christopher, you will be citing to this source for every article that you've copied from our wiki, as well as refer the viewer to CC 2.5 as specified by the wiki's license.
