is there a way to move the pieces so i don't misplace them at high speeds. i usually hold the arrow key, but they misplace by a couple of cells. is there a way to prevent this?

If you're referring to the fast repeat rate of the sideways movement, besides reacting faster, you'll have to adjust your movement "finesse" to accomodate. All cells can be reached with a combination of holding, holding + tapback/backtrack, or a single tap with the exception of the O tetromino. There aren't really adequate sources for 20G movement finesse but 0G finesse will mostly apply so you might want to look into that on the wiki (no specific articles for ARS though unfortunately but it's quite similar).

Not sure..At least, not on an empty plane stack..
I am only 100% sure that every tap tap tap can be avoided.

On an empty field, the finesse is exactly the same as 0G. With 0G, all double taps except for the O (and S/Z in ARS) can be avoided. However, with 20G and an uneven stack, double taps even for these pieces are quite rare and entirely avoidable with smart stacking.
