    Yesterday at evening, I' ve built a math formulation to calculate the exact rate of tetriminos per second at a particular instant of game on TGM1 & 2.

    I've a few searched on the forum and I haven't found that here..Not as compact as mine..And I'm SURE at 100% my calcul is right..

    So my simpled formul is :

    Ra = (5.Lv + 1,75.Sm) / 7.t

    with :

    Ra : rate

    Lv : level indicated on the screen

    Sm : number of resting squares in the matrice

    t : time (second)

    Application for example :

    assumptions :

    T.A. DEATH : lv.100 in 44 sec(I can't do better [IMG] )

    and : ~25 squares on the matrice at this moment.(good game).

    So : Ra = (5x100+1,75x25)/(7x44) = 1,77 Block/sec

    lv 400 gives ~ 2,4 ..

  2. Yes, your formula works. It's not 100% accurate because it doesn't consider lost pieces at X99, but that complicates things and barely changes the results. In fact I normally make the quick calculation:

    ((Level / 7) * 5) / Time

    It's less accurate, but it's good enough for a quick check.

    whoaaa thanks for the formula amnesia !

    if i use your calcul on the best video i've made :

    level 479 in 03:02:~~

    then my average is : 2,032 pcs/ sec

    the official shirase video lvl 1300 in 05:08:~~ give

    ((5*1300) + (1.75*130))/ (7*30B) = 3.12 pcs / sec

    @_@

    ouch!

    and now the record is 04:30:~~ = ~3.55pcs/ sec

    ouch ouch ouch !

  4. Remember that the equation gets still more inaccurate when dealing with TGM3, due to the game giving extra level bonuses when making 3- and 4-line clears.

    "barely" [IMG] ??
    I don't understand this word but maybe you want say it's not an important detail for the final result..

    Needle is right! My formula doesn't work any more with tgm3, in fact the result is less than 3,55..

    But I think I can make a valid formula if I work on it..

    Actually, unless you count the number of tetris and triple...I don't see how calculate the exact rate.. [IMG]

  6. barely -> peine, quasiement "a ne change quasiment pas les rsultats"

    If you use Firefox and the google toolbar (certainly available on other browser) :

    you can use the real time translator...

    this stuff is installed on a friend computer... and is really useful.

    myself i use babelfish translator :
