First: Hi im new, be nice please.

Im trying to get a higher score on tetrisDS marathon, so i want to try a multiple t spin triple setup at the beginning. The best i can do on 20G though, is 2 TsT with OZJ. I did 3 once with JTJTJT, but by then my stack already had a few holes in it so i couldnt continue on with tetrises.

Do you guys have any tips on setting up a multiple tspintriple when youre playing on 20G?

If you're going for score, you want to perform ST Stacking rather than BtB TSTs. ST Stacking is easier to perform and is less prone to break BtB as is the case with BtB TSTs.

Here's the wiki page on it.

And here's the advanced setups page once you learn the basics.

  3. I found the best btb t-spin triple for 20G is the LZZT or the JSSL one.

Digital is right though. For the really high points you want to use ST stacking.

and besides being easier to set up without wrecking your stack, T-spin doubles give you more points per line cleared.

ive tried that abit, but my "i" keeps going into the wrong column when i twist it in after 2 TsD. how can i avoid that?

    thanks for the help everyone

two small questions though: is it true that the higher (on the playing field) the line is that you clear, the more points you get? And wouldnt multiple t spin singles give the most points per line?

btw, caffine and digital, you two are amazing.

you get the same points no matter what the height of the line you clear is. and yes, TSS's (excluding EZ TSS's) give the most points per line, but there's a problem with focusing only on them. you get 1 T piece for each 7 pieces you receive, and a single line clear only removes 10 blocks from the well (2.5 pieces). so if you're only making TSS's, you're removing 10 out of each 28 "blocks" you receive. the only way to survive with these numbers is to make extra tetrises, which negates some of the good the T-spins do to your score. here are two example scenarios:

    78 no-kick TSS's = 78 lines

    31 tetrises = 124 lines

    78 bags = 2184 blocks

    202 lines = 2020 blocks

    left behind = 164 blocks

    first no-kick TSS = 16000 points

    next 77 no-kick TSS's (with back-to-back bonuses) = 1,848,000 points

    31 tetrises (with back-to-back bonuses) = 744,000 points

    total points = 2,608,000

    77 TSD's = 154 lines

    12 tetrises = 48 lines

    77 bags = 2156 blocks

    202 lines = 2020 blocks

    left behind = 136 blocks

    first TSD = 24000 points

    next 76 TSD's (with back-to-back bonuses) = 2,736,000 points

    12 tetrises (with back-to-back bonuses) = 288,000 points

    total points = 3,048,000
