Just wanted to invite everyone here to the first ever (hopefully weekly of sort) blockstats chat. It's happening at http://www.blockstats.org/chat.html at (on 6/23/2006) 10:00PM CST. Hoping to enjoy a nice tetris conversation and maybe get a few 4 player games of TDS going. Hope to see you there!
So there is an IRC channel for Tetris! I knew there had to be. ...But I can't connect to the server in Xchat.
Yeah, it's a newly created IRC Channel, Just finished setting up the server last night... What do you mean by you couldn't connect using XChat... The web client or MIRC should both work just fine (keyword is should).
I mean the connection keeps timing out. Xchat is an IRC client, just like mIRC. The mario.jcorps.com server redirects to dpweb.vendaregroup.com, and then the operation times out. EDIT: Okay, I see what the problem was. The correct server is jRcorps, not jcorps. EDIT AGAIN: Woohoo! Four-player friend battles are awesome! We are going to do this again next Friday, right?
I'm sorry, but can someone please inform me on how to connect to the server? I don't understand all the talk about IRC and xChat. I'm just not real good with computers. I mean I know a little more than the average person, but that's all.
Does Blockstat chat/IRC block out offices from connection to it? I can't seem to connect.. Or maybe it's my workplace
It's probably your workplace that blocks connections on ports that IRC frequently uses (around 6660-7000).
Is there a machine in the break room that's disconnected from the intranet but fully connected to the Internet?
Because the new post would be identical to the old, but with less content. That's why the NSider Tetris board sucks.
But a new topic wouldn't confuse lots of people and make them think there's some sort of meeting scheduled.
Yeah, it doesn't apply to this thread really. The subject title should be changed. Still, if it gets a few more people on the chat...
