So much activitly in this thread this week. Did I miss the announcement for the TGM carnival? Don't worry. As mentioned in an earlier post I won't be able to play until this weekend at the earliest. Also you should know by now that I'm not obsessed by beating you or anyone else. As long as I meet my objectives I'm happy. And yeah the game can be cruel, but at least you know you're at GM level.
Wtf. I played like hell this day too. Got some S7's and then... I got an S8 and died at level 926 on the time 11:51.... if I had just survived + gotten 126k points, I'd have a GM with a time i would feel was not one hundred percent garbage. :< If I got GM with that previous record i posted, I would not be pleased by it because of it's sucky time, so maybe it was good I finished 2,8 seconds too late. xD Maaaan... No, I'm done with TGM for the day... and since Ai has now got free time for TGM because it's weekend, GAH, he will get GM before me! I just feel it... T_T I just fucking hope i will get that damn GM tomorrow!!! ARGH!!! I suck, I've been playing 20-30 hours (thanks to the fear of Ai getting GM before me, hahaha, what a motivator...) the last three days, and still no GM, just two near-GM experiences. xD

This was the first serious game with a grade higher than S7 today. I'm certain I won't be able to emulate this kind of performance any time soon. This is one of those times where I was lucky for once as I was about to die on 2 or 3 occasions. Mainly because I took some big risks trying to stack cleanly while playing at full speed. Around level 970 when I started panicking like crazy I really thought I would fail yet again. ; I think I could have gotten GM a little earlier if I played more safely, but that's not important now. Needless to say I'm extremely happy with this performance. It took me a year and 2 weeks to obtain the GM rank. I honestly believe anyone could do it given enough time and practice. So just keep at it! Go for it Meroigo you're so close too! 2009 resolutions: TGM: GM within 13 minutes DONE! Will try to get sub 12:30:00 next. TAP Normal: over 400.000 DONE! Get closer to 450.000. TAP Master: S6 TAP T.A. Death: over 400 DONE! 500 possible without manual locking? LJ 40 lines: sub 40 seconds LJ 180 seconds: over 45.000 Getting GM in TGM was my main objective all this time. Next big goal is to get Orange Line S9 in TAP. Hopefully I will be able to do it somewhere next year. And oh... **** YEAH!!!

Congrats. I knew it. I feel like such a looser. Today I was near GM two-three times (and I still can't fucking forget that one time where i was 2,8 seconds too slow for it), and one of the times today it went really well but of course the game wanted me to die (died at 11:13 at 882 with S. Evil shit game. How can it do that to me? It really feels like the game seriously hates me. What the fuck have I ever done to it? Now I've lost my biggest motivator to play TGM1. I wanted to be a GM before Ai...

Thanks everyone! I'm going to take it easy for a while and focus on TAP after I confirm this TGM GM. Please take it easy and do get GM asap! I didn't do this to tease or annoy you. You need to understand that I obtained S9 almost a month ago. After one of too many S8/S9 at the end of the game I realized my stacking needed to improve first instead of trying my luck. I vowed to finish the game with the 20G code and try again afterwards. Just like you I have been motivated by others to stop slacking off. The urge to get GM was first awakened again after Radish obtained GM. Having said that I would only post when I got GM I may have given the impression I was not far from getting it. Nothing was less true as I could only get S7 after trying really hard. So I shamefully posted my current level to make it clear that I actually didn't improve that much. That public humiliation forced me to play more regularly again. After only a week of hard practice I got S9 and even quite close to GM. I desperately tried to get GM, but failed so many times because I was unable to stack cleanly consistently. The only reason why I was motivated to do it this week was my recent S8 in 20G mode and the added pressure of Zircean/an ass achieving GM. But that didn't irritate me. On the contrary I wanted to get it more than ever now as I was confident I could or must I say should have done it earlier if I actually tried harder. Same goes for you. If you played more vigorously before you would have been GM by now. So just do it and get it over with will you! rofl @ tepples' reply! Thanks! I've just watched your GM game in the Nolife-TV video again and I must say you're way more in control than me. I'm afraid to stack as high as you do between level 300-500. I try to keep the stack low at all times after level 300 to feel comfortable. Your 20G play is very stable and you use moves I can't perfom yet. There was no moment you were in real danger of topping out. On the other hand I was very lucky to have finished that game, having been on the verge of topping out on multiple occasions. I think the high score and low time are a result of an excellent first half (level 0-500). Normally I would have died in 99 percent of cases. I was just lucky. Extremely lucky... So I will have to confirm this performance to actually feel more at ease. In texmaster my best first half perfomance is around 06:15 and best second half time is around 05:40. I could get sub 12 minutes if I'm able to play at my best, but don't expect that any time soon. Hopefully somewere next year I will be able to get close to 12 minutes. Nice progress in TAP!
