Welcome to the 2016 edition of the Carnival of Death, celebrating Tetris's greatest mode, and this year's Death Toll.

The rules are simple. You play Death Mode, you die, you post your best score here, you repeat and you die again. The total number of levels achieved by the community shall become this year's Death Toll

Scores from TAP, MAME, Texmaster, Nullpomino and other clones are accepted, so long as they are played with the proper Death settings (correct speedcurve, TAP randomiser, no floorkicks, ARS, 1 preview, no hold).

Slightly disappointed we're just doing single runs instead of the 5-game series. Participating nonetheless, hopefully I can get some new PBs this week!

 

My first death M yeah which I actually got yesterday, but didn't bother to post it. Now it's just perfect time because carnival of death. I'm not sure if it counts because I did got that score earlier before this and not now...

 

Just got a 224 as well.

 

Seems kind of odd to be playing T. A. Death in order to celebrate Shirase.

Got a new pb - 442

 

Well, I'm rearranging stuff in my apartment, just got a new desk. So I can't play on the cab (or even computer) right now. Hopefully tonight.

So for now I'll have to play on something else, not sure if this score is valid. It's at the very least the wrong framerate, but kicks, previews and no hold should be right.



Oh and btw, I'm absolutely garbage at manlocking on a d-pad (really awkward to move the thumb like that all the time) so I just didn't bother.

EDIT: updated the picture, got a better score. Nice, one day into the carnival and already a 400. Took me to the last day of the carnival last time and that was my first 400 ever.

 

This one's even a personal best if it was on a legit pcb. Again, not sure if ndstgm scores count. I'll wait for qlex to confirm if it's okay to submit these. But I should be back on pcb tonight so whatever.
