Beaten by .77secs. Gotta love them cheeky record breakers. Now I guess the question is.. Will anyone step up and try to beat it?
872 @ 5:26:21 Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve the records I get with such messy games where I just barely survive. I need to embrace the fact that this mode is called "Death"...
Second gold ST in the 100-200 section and finally a record I'm happy with Death M by the end of the year maybe? Hehe
I finally broke into 400! For the first time, been stuck at 3XX for literally years... But, I didn't have my capture set up so I have no picture and/or video proof. But it was 413 in I think 3:35. Happy to finally be in the 400 club!
Well that didn't take very long to reproduce.... Yeah, didn't manlock anything in this game, hands were tired and so were they the last time. But just like that I got my 2nd 400 game ever and two in the same night.. Really though Qlex opened my eyes to some moves that I just never did before or realize they were there and they have been extremely helpful. Basically just put some pieces flat like I,L,J instead of IRS. A small simple thing but very useful indeed. And try to put holes to the sides if I can, or make holes in the same column (level 80-85 in this game comes to mind) I usually have a goal each day that I play that is "get to level 300 at least once today" because there are days that I get to that point maybe 2-4 times and days when I don't reach 300 at all. So I have that goal to push myself so even if I feel I'm not close to PB (prior to today that was 396) I would still accomplish something and reaching 300+ I could still turn off the machine happy for that day. Today I have crushed that goal and reached level 300 surely 20 times ! And twice to 400. My next goal now is to get to 400 with manlocking. Then on to 500 and then I'll have to get fast after that. EDIT: So I just did some aggressive (but still clean) stacking for speed, and would like to ask - how's 02:15 @ 300 looking for time? That game felt really good to me and currently at the limit of my speed. I don't think I could go much faster before 300 kicks in. What time would you recommend at most for 300 and 400 to pass the torikan at 500?
Good job! 2:15 is a pretty good time. I'd say 2:00-2:05 is a perfect time to reach 500 in under 3:25 without having to manlock so you're not very far away! Keep up the good work
883 @ 5:22:63 Today I felt compelled to do the Death-punishment workout (10 pushups if I didn't reach level 500). It went horribly at first, but then I suddenly got a streak of 4 Ms, ending with this. EDIT: 2015/11/06 911 @ 5:43:75 More progress! My most nervous game yet. The distracting voice in my head telling me "I'm so close!" ultimately overwhelmed my focus.
So we have our next DEATH GM ? I don't think that your 3 rivals Edo, mat, shoryuken, will show up in the next days... Oh ! and for your culture, and as a reminder, this player mat was a long long time ago, the really first DEATH M in the Western side ! Scoring with a 528 while jago and colour_thief was stucking behind at 500. And I was probably trying to improve from something around 440... Qlex was even not existing at that time... Periods are differents and evolve.... In the 19th century, Paris and London was the 2 biggest town in the world, in 2004-2008, jago and colour_thief was the 2 strongest western men on TGM.
That's wrong ! TGM1 and TAP DEATH are completely dominated by Europe, TAP MASTER and TI are the possessions of America, it is fairly balanced on the whole series.
This reminds me my first one in 2010...I was just at 961 or 964 maybe. I had real tears when I have done it first... All these efforts finaly rewarded.
GM @ 06:17:91 I didn't expect to accomplish this so soon! I was able slay the voice in my head that wanted me to fail -- especially at the end where I was level-stopped at 998 and almost died. Fumen diagram of the game: Tetris demonstration diagram EDIT: Fixed fumen diagram
