Oh wow can't believe I haven't posted VP in here yet. Pennsylvania Victory Pointe Version: TAP Address: 1113 East Carson St, Pittsburgh PA 15203 (Map) Cost: $10.00 unlimited play pass. $5.00/hour, half off on Thursday Cabinet type: Candy (Blast City) Controls: Sanwa (4 way JLF) Only real issue is a potential bit of glare from the lighting that hits about 2/3rds of the way up the screen. Staff is more than willing to dim the lights upon request. Also worth noting that they have a playable copy of Ninja Baseball Batman and a free play DDR Supernova 2 machine. They also had a TGM board before they got TAP and they're selling it to a local person who is looking to start a travelling arcade so there might be a floating copy in the area soon as well.
Astro City in Southend-on-Sea (England) did have a TGM3, but it's not listed in the games list anymore. I'll go dig around for info regarding that. I hope that isn't gone, because that would leave the UK with no public TGM cabinets (to my knowledge). Edit: Management and owner seem to have been arguing again and all loaned cabinets (beatmaniaIIDX, pop'n music, DDR, SF IV AE and TGM3) have been returned to their owners. rip fun
Any idea or info on who was loaning it? There are a few places in London that might pick it up - Heart of Gaming, Casino Leisure (Tottenham Court Rd) and Las Vagas arcade in Soho. If someone is OK loaning it to Southend then maybe they'd be OK with it being in London given it's not that far. I think there also used to be a TGM1 cab in Blackpool somewhere too, but it's been years since I last went to Blackpool so fuck knows if that's still there or not.
I'm not sure who loaned it; the post I found (here) only describes them as being "belonging to members of [Astro City's] community". I'll drop them a Tweet.
England (London) VEGA London Version: TGM3 Address: 9 Islington High Street, London N1 9LQ (map) Cost: Cabinet type: bad LCD chinese thing Controls: not very good but at least they're 4-way; Qlex said they feel like Seimitsus. They lost the cab keys so can't fix them too lol It's a fairly new arcade, only opening on the 29th September. The TGM3 board is most likely the same one that was retired from Astro City, considering the times that Astro City got rid of theirs and the time this opened. Could be a coincidence, however, which could mean there are two TGM3 boards floating around the South East. On the other hand, a lot of the other games were also ones retired from Astro City (SF IV AE, IIDX 20 tricoro, pop'n music 20 fantasia, DDR X3 VS 2nd Mix) so for now it's safe to assume it's the same board.
Guess I've got a new pilgrimage to make whenever I'm in London then. Used to be Leisure Casino on Tottenham Court Rd but TGM3 trumps Cave shooters any day. Pretty close to Kings X too.
I'll probably be at VEGA in London on the 16th April for most of the afternoon if any other people want to make a bit of a thing of it. Ages away I know but I've got other plans that put me in London for the evening so figure I might as well make a day of it.
Stick was set to 4 way long ago lol, they actually replied but it got lost somehow Me and @inkdweller were talking to them on Twitter, getting things sorted and that
