Please bump me up a grade, I finally made S6! :)
It feels good, I have been stuck on S5 since what, 2012? Looks like I'm playing a bit faster now too.

  5. This game is cruel. Two consecutive Master exams, failed both (but some nice clear times for me, 5:42 and 5:48:xx), then I rip off a 5:38 M on the next regular game. At least I set a section time record on one of those exams...

Well, I couldn't beat "uma" (lol Kitaru) and still haven't gotten a clear on actual Ti (unless I did better last year and just forgot, not likely though), but I guess you can put down an m2 for me.

Also note: Done with no hold. :p

  7. Nice! Good to see some of your scores again :)

  8. I've still got a long way to go before I go anywhere, haha. Gotta knock a whole 2 mins off of my time just to continue. Been spending the past couple days getting used to an arcade stick though.

Edit: Just had a promotional exam for rank 4 and because of that I had no time limit to hit 500. ended up passing it when I died at level 687. I'm fine with that for now.

  9. Finally passed the 7 minute barrier at level 500 and got an S1. Why my best scores always start out as sloppy runs I will never know.

  10. It just happens. A lot of my PB runs started with a lot of mistakes everywhere and then I get it together, and I think I'm not the only one :) good job!

  11. Well for this game it's almost as if having a bad start is good for you. I don't know how many cools I've missed because playing "too fast" in the first sections leaving little room for error closing in on 400.

  12. I think maybe it might be because I push myself further once I know I'm behind. Though after re-watching that video I've noticed a flaw I'm gonna have to work on. I take way too long to regain any state of mind once something goes wrong (Misplacements, handling a piece for too long, ect.) If you notice there are times where I end up playing much slower for a few pieces then suddenly I'm back at full speed. It's also the reason why I can't go any further than the first section of shirase as my mind can't get back in to the game quick enough once a piece gets placed too early.

  14. Amazing! I'm assuming you went the hard way for that? As in scoring a lot during the semi invisible roll? Whichever it is, congrats!

Yes ! like a man... This was my cleanest one, I had never done it so nicely even on training, this MV was a complete surprise.
4 grades can be done is maintaining a regular speed not too much insane, just clean, zero mistake and completed at the bottom.

  16. Impressive, amnesia!
Yesterday I got an M with with invisible roll (which I almost completed :( ) in 5:48 and an M with fading roll in 5:50:76. Hence the second one is my new personal best. I think I can finally break through to a new grade soon.

You will beat me in a couple of days or hours... Just poorly survive an m roll and you will do a MO.

After 2 weeks on practicing the M ROLL, I just got ONCE 3 grads, which would allow me to make a MV only..... I am at years to perform the next grad.
I will focuse more on making fading MV under 5min30...Eventually if I become really really fast, I will get a fading MO in 2020 lol.....

  19. I think your reaction to that is the same as what mine would probably be. Although when I saw the situation at ~lv450 I forgot it wasn't live and thought you were about to lose. Mostly because I hardly ever survive at that height. Either way though, congrats! Keep up that performance and we could be seeing western GM #2 before the end of the year! :D

  20. Indeed, that’s an incredible feat of itself, so congrats’ ! \o/

Although I won’t be this optimistic about him being Grand Master this year, a small but consequent number of people can – and have gotten – MasterM, even if it’s just that one game out of a thousand, even with some lucky line clears on invisible (though I won’t downplay TWF’s performance on that, because for fucks sake it’s invisible tetris =p). The ones that are eligible for Grand Master are the one who know everything there is to do in that… and do it on command.

And the best way to learn how to do it… is to do it again and again and again =p So if you get the MasterM grade, whoever it might be, if you want to keep playing, then keep playing ! That is how you will get it o/
