  1. It's official: October 17-18, 2015

I'm thinking of actually attending this year, now that my life has settled down a bit (or will by October).

I'm not adverse to sharing a room if anyone is going and wants to split hotel costs. I don't smoke, snore, or party too much. To be honest, I'm a little on the fastidious-side, so, yeah - you've been warned. :)

  2. Where is it? West coast somewhere?

  3. It's in Portland, Oregon - West Coast USA.

  4. get the fuck down here don! you need to reprioritize your action items and come to PDX for the main event.

  5. (said by the guy who just happened to live in the same city the CTWC was held in the last 3 years running).

  6. Heh. Well it's a $400 flight for me to Portland so... yeah, expensive! :)

  7. your priorities are all out of whack. sell some plasma man. just. get. the. fuck. up. here. you will not, (i repeat) you will not regret it.

  8. Soo any recomendations on hotels over there? (cheap ones, ticket from sweden are not cheap!)

Not saying I am going for sure, But I am sure thinking of it!

  9. The website will show you a map of the city so you can choose a hotel. The cheaper ones are likely the farthest away from the convention center. I'm planning to use Travelocity or similar to get a deal.

  10. Damn, tickets are really expensive. Would love to go.

  11. Hey guys, I'm super new here. I joined to learn more about this competition in Portland. Has anyone ever been? It sounds like a blast, but I don't really know much about it. I'm a little nervous about competing -- at least maybe until I have a better idea what to expect. Should I consider spectating as a first-year attendee? Or should I punch my nerves in the face and just go for it?

  12. you will love it. not only is portland beautiful, but the people hosting the event are super cool, as are most of the competitors. we try to go out of our way to include new people as well. the competition is pretty fierce right now though since there are so many new, very god players. any one of fifteen to twenty people could win. you get the heck up here.

  13. Yeah, I say give it a shot! :) If nothing else, attend the first day and see how you stack up in the qualifying period. Even if it doesn't pan out, you might have some friendly rivalries vying for a spot on the bubble, and you can anyways come back to relax and spectate the next day. :)
