@cowe- your words are too kind. thanks for being supportive, and driving others to play more, and better tetris! i sincerely wish the best for you in your upcoming exploits.

@chad- you were my hero at the 2013 championships. i thought you played magnificently, and loved watching you. i cant wait to see you again this year.

Congratulations Terry. I hope you and Robin and Andee celebrated like rock stars. I rarely use the word 'epic' but that's exactly what your max out game was. I am proud of you brother! I hope to crack the six 9's sometime inside now and my birthday 3/18. AGAIN CONGRATS DAWG!

    Congratulations Terry! Great Job Man!

I'd like to start a poll... Who had the better max-out celebration: you, Josh, or they both were Epic? LOL

I liked yours because you maxed at 27 and were like.. F it I'm done, threw the controller down and celebrated, didn't even try to get to level 29.

  11. Re: [NES] A-Type

thanks mike! you are so right- i was completely fed up with it at that point and was ready to quit. screw finishing the game. i hate to admit it but i almost prefer josh's because his was a longer time coming. he waited for two years for that and you could feel it in his scream. i only had to wait for less than a year, although i may have had more close calls...

speaking of- ben, this is my chart of my daily scores you asked for earlier (and can you relink yours- i want to look at it). i kept a record of any game over 700k, unless my high was lower than that (and some days it was). i also boldened the kill screen games. only about 1/3 of my 900ks were even kill screens. the chart also shows a drastic improvement in the last two or three months. not sure what i did differently to improve, but something happened and i got a lot better really quickly. i was getting 900ks almost daily. there is a side list (columns e and f) that details my level 19 highs. i am done playing on 18 so you may not see another max from me in the future until the big one...

and to finally answer your final questions: i had six one-aways, and my top ten average is now 970,671.

    Nice run man, congrats!

  13. Re: [NES] A-Type

@ben- your "other achievements" column was so obscure i had to explain them to my GF. well done.

  14. Re: [NES] A-Type

Good God, Terry! This coming from the guy that said he could only stand to play a like twenty minutes at a crack in Portland.

  15. Re: [NES] A-Type

thanks bo! if you'll notice, there is a pretty hefty break of about 10 minutes in between the two halves of that video i posted. i cant sit still for too long...

but i finally got it done. thanks for all your encouraging words along the way. :)
