I could play a few out on keyboard for old time's sake. (The trifecta of input devices... )

Yeah, that replay is frightening -- Kevin showed it to me yesterday. The player appears to be Morimoto of SMB3 TAS fame. The TAS PLAY banner should have been flashing if that were the case (not to mentioned that much more optimized play), and the description states "[keyboard inputs]," so we're looking at the real deal here. The previous video published by Pier21 exhibits his play in the arcade: TGM1 9:25.

I don't think I've played more than two dozen games of death since I got my 998 back in June 2009, but I definitely have unfinished business with this mode. I'm officially coming out of retirement and I'm determined to get my GM...
