Kira reminded me a little bit during his 400-500 period, after a lot of frustration and insistance, he finaly perform one with about the same conditions and level. Don't panic if you can't make another one right now.

I think that a DEATH M performance doesn't look any more as a rare and lucky performance once you can play at 400 with manual locking. Not consistently but depending of the humor, you will sometime feel able to lock at 400 and sometime not.

It's only natural, I already noticed a year ago that people who owned a TAP PCB had a clear edge in Death mode, obviously because of MAME's lag. Add shmupmametgm into that equation and you have a sudden uprising of Death GMs.
I'm not sure which the last version was you've been using, but this one feels just like the real PCB. And you can record as well as capture AVI files: To record: mametgm -record yourfile.inp tgm2p To capture an INP file to AVI: mametgm -playback yourfile.inp -aviwrite yourfile.avi tgm2p

I am not so sure (actually I fucking hope you are right !!) I really feel a problem with resisting a long moment at DEATH 500 (2min+) I can well handle it, make good moves and action at this speed, but I don't know why, I lose my energy and concentration around 650-700, then I need to really force on my brain to continuing, until my hands get shaked, my moves less accurate and I die.
