A perfectly solid character graphics version of tetris is very possible. (see original PC tetris) Would it look as pretty? No. Would it be playable? Yes.
Port it back to the Electronica 60! Anyways. Much like Caith, I also installed the SDL.framework files, but get the same error.
I tried compiling SDL myself, and ended up with the same result as the symlink to macports' SDL binary.
changed "gcc link option" . (-lSDL to -framework SDL) http://www.sendspace.com/file/a046cm Double click Leopard/Texmaster2009beta2/Texmaster2009beta2.exe
Actually, yes, some ports to portable systems would be a very good idea. But as I have no gba or ds flashcart of any sort, i'll stick with my PC.
Is there a guide / read me on how to get this to work? (for the casual Mac user who doesn´t have a degree in science ) I am asking because I would love to give this programme a try.
Use version 2009-1 or 2009-2beta2. Unarchive the Mac binary and then double-click it. Should be pretty simple.
Edit the INI and configure your button preferences. Hopefully it should just work if the stick is connected when you start the game. Works for me on Linux.
I am using a HRAP2 with a USB converter, unfortunately plug and play only works for the A button (X)... After fiddling around with different converters and pads the only result was some crazy movement with the original PS2 pad (analog)... Rewriting / remapping the corresponding keys in the ini didn´t help, although I tried the MAME joystick config input names... My 360 stick isn´t recognized by OS X or MAME either, not even with the 360 Controller Driver 0.8...
Okay, here is how to do it. Not sure how people have trouble with this... 1. Take your MAME settings. 2. Subtract 1 from each of the button numbers. 3. Set these as your Tex config settings. My buttons are 3, 4, 6, and 1 for ABCD. My stick is set to DPad mode. [JOYSTICK] player1_povhat = 0 player1_axis = 0 player2_povhat = 0 player2_axis = 0 player1_keyA = 2 player1_keyB = 3 player1_keyC = 5 player1_keyD = 0
It is not as easy as it seems. 1. The buttons are working with the HRAP2 now, the controls aren´t. 2. There is no switch on my HRAP2 whatsoever. (there is one on my 360SFTE) 3. Followed this thread that helped me make the TE work with OS X: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=178075 4. Tried rewriting the .ini for the new stick, but it´s not plug and play (totally messed up controls)... 5. Tried the TE with MAME and it works like a charm. I will try to alter the other MadCatz drivers in the .plist later, that may be causing the problem (messed up controls) Thanks everyone so far, later
Yeah, it may be complex. For example, with a PS2 stick and converter, the directions show up in MAME as buttons (13, 14, etc). I don't know if there's a way to assign the directions to those in Texmaster, which seems to only offer povhat and axis. Good luck with the driver adjustments.
