Cultris website has been down for two weeks now. They were just about to release Cultris 2.0 WHat happened ? Has anyone some information ?
Were they genuinely about to? I'd swear Cultris 2.0 has been imminent for years. I think maybe Red Star plays it and that's about it? Not that many people here who play it more than just every now and again, if that.
Cultris was hosted on a subdomain of a dyndns.org domain (ath.cx), and dyndns.org is often used to give a name to someone's home computer. A site hosted on someone's home computer is generally more likely to go down than one on a major shared hosting provider.
Ohh, it is Oliv. Haven't seen that name in awhile. I too noticed it has been down. My first thought was that it might actually have something to do with Cultris 2, but I get that same thought every time the website goes down and so far I have been wrong every time. I have no clue why it is down. It is not unusual for them to be down for weeks and not say anything about why it happens. They gave no prior warning on the forums that they would be down so it might just be technical difficulties. I'll post if I see any change. And Rosti, you are correct in your belief that it has been imminent for years. They way they talked it was to come out somewhere around spring of maybe my junior year of high school and I am in college now and no sign of the game. Someone was actually working on a DS port of Cultris 19 before the site went down and was close to completion it seemed. But as far as Cultris 2, I am always suspicious now of how close they are now a days. The video preview of Cultris 2 is well over a year now and we have seen nothing more of the game. I still long for the game, but the years have made me cold towards Cultris (that and playing other Tetris games makes me misdrop like crazy in Cultris, stupid orientation).
