Yes, I'm double posting, but I feel this is a worthy enough accomplishment. I got four lines in this game. Now if I was a dishonest person, I could post that and totally act like I got a Tetris in this ridiculous game. But... I'm honest. Everything seems to be in order if you don't look closely enough. Except that this: happened earlier. When that happened I was pretty much ready to throw a chair. But I figured I'd gotten far enough and since there was already one line I could "clear" I decided I should keep going and just get a triple with an I piece. Not as historic as what I was going for, but still pretty impressive considering this game. I still had not seen the epic line clear animation since I had only been stacking for a Tetris the two times I played this game. I could have quit and watched it once, but I kept stacking for that triple. Then I closed the hole and got another line right afterwards. The two line clears are not that different except when you get more than one it goes back and forth. It's pretty cool I guess. Maybe the Tetris is different. But I don't know if I'll try this again. Then again... I thought of a new really good strategy that should get it done much faster... Hmm...
My friend once linked me to a page where this was embedded. However, the page was set in such a way that the game was _huge_. You had to scroll around to follow the active piece, so you needed to use one hand to find the piece and follow it, and one to control things. I was hatin' life, hahaha.
So I got a Tetris. I didn't record video of it, though. Sorry, Muf. I wasn't expecting to play this game again so soon. Now, I thought I would be done with this ridiculous game after I got a Tetris. But... this game has a twist it seems. Here's the picture: Nothing different happens when you get a Tetris. But note the black blocks on the left of the image. That's a new piece. Yes. This stupid game has an 8 by 1 piece. If you don't believe me, load the game up yourself and hold the drop key down. You'll see it eventually. In this game you can get two Tetrises with one piece. And that means... I have to do it. I don't know WHY I am so compelled to "complete" this game... but I am. I'll probably do it when there's a two hour block of shows on TV. Maybe on Wednesday. And I'll probably record at that point. Even though it'll be boring as hell to watch 90 minutes (It'll probably take that long) of me playing this game. It NEEDS to be recorded. I hope I don't screw up an hour in or something. Wish me luck. Kitaru: That sounds AWFUL. I would not even be able to play that version.
Go Kasumi. Take one for the team. It would be sort of cool if you unlocked new, larger pieces as you went, though I think the time it takes to get the initial few lines is way too long.
yeah. i can confirm that its' 160 points for a tetris. and yeah i was pissed when i randomly started droppign stuff after and the 8x1 piece showed up. I thought it was just a rumor... but no, it's real... maybe somethign special happens when you get an 8 line clear? It should score 2560 points, in theory, so it's DEFINITELY worth it.
It's wasn't me who created that piece of art. Just found that on a gaming site and wanted to share it. I don't think I can play Tetris for 01:20:55 without clearing a line.
