Meeting in Waterloo

Thread in 'Locations & Events' started by colour_thief, 27 Apr 2008.

  1. From May 8th to May 12th, Amnesia will be visiting me in Waterloo. DeHackEd also lives close to me, so he'll probably make an appearance too. By necessity this had to be planned at the last minute, so I'm mostly expecting nobody else to make it. But! Nevertheless people are welcome.

Going by the Strasbourg meeting's standards, I could host about 20 people. [IMG] Currently with just Amnesia staying here, I could host 1 person willing to share a double bed with him, and also anybody with a sleeping bag.

Accomodations include:So we could have 4 people playing the physical arcade games at once, and also the ability to get decent video captures.

Is anyone interested? This is probably roadtrip distance from the state of Pennsylvania or New York... Can't remember if we have members there.

  2. the fluffy kitty sounds tempting.

  3. I don't think I'd be able to make it out there anyway, but the fact that it is happening during the school year crushes my hopes and dreams. [IMG]

Dude, I live 15 minutes away (30 if the lights don't cooperate) and I have a serious tetris addiction problem.

But you already knew all that.

  10. Hah, would be cool with one meetup in Waterloo, US and one in Waterloo, UK - at the same time. :>

  11. It's Canada actually. [IMG]

  12. You should probably specify which waterloo you're talking about in the topic since there are quite a few of them...

    [Markup Fairy was here]

  13. It's nothing for definite yet, but there's a meeting sort of planned for September in Cambridge (UK), which will probably be more convenient for most of the European people here.

I'm down here in the US, so this is a no go for me. How ever.. My dad's trying to sell his business so we can move. I'm going to try and get them to move to Canada Waterloo, Ontario because YOU HAVE A FRICK FRACKIN' TI MACHINE.

Seen it. Played it. Overrated. It eats data, takes forever to boot up and needs its own electrical power supply.

Oh, and unless you have practice with a joystick, expect your first promotional exam to be for grade "2" or worse.

Now stop Ti bashing please kthx bye. I've never seen or played Ti, so, until I get it, I'm neutral on it.

It could be not so hard for you ghetto, with your M4 on tex, you should easily get at least the promotional examination for S9 or M1.. [IMG]

I could probably pass that M1 exam too, with how consistent I am on Ti Special on Texmaster.

    ...on keyboard.

Playing on a stick, on an actual cab (different posture), is a whole different cup of tea.

Keyboard and joystick are DRASTICALLY different. Theres no way anyone, even super tetris god Ghett0, could go from only using keyboard to playing with joystick without struggle.
