TETRiS ONLINE

  1. Thanks for the vids.

  2. thanks for all the info so far everybody. i've created an account, but can't get the client software link anywhere. i think something is wacky with my IE javascript settings and it won't let me press the login button after entering my login info. I can login thru firefox, but no link to be found(as stated in the guide--IE must be used). any ideas?

    thanks

I had the exact same problem. Check your antivirus/firewall software. Try disabling them to see if you can get it working that way. If that helps you should make sure your antivirus/firewall software doesn't block the tetris software anymore.

By the way my nickname is ????. I have no idea why I didn't use the kanji for love. Maybe I'll create another account later... ^^

    deepdorp: did you try that?

blink: just watched your first vid. that was some awesome playing. congrats on beating a top player!

i noticed your hold function didn't work, i think in the 2nd game, when you hit hold but it was locked out. that's been happening to me too. i think it's from hitting it a bit too early but i'm not 100% sure. it could also be from pressing multiple keys at once.

any chance of supporting gungho IDs with that launcher? awesome stuff.

  6. anyway you can have it auto login so when i use the launcher the game just loads up instead of having to press start?

  7. dodd:
    thanks for the installer+launcher.
its doing the trick. (installing as i write)

    *edit* worked and playing.
    thanks again

  8. I just uploaded new version with auto login feature (for blink) and few other minor changes.
About adding support for GungHoID and other alternative authorization methods, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort. I may add it some day when I'll bored but no promise on this.

  9. Just bought DAS 5, it's basically equivalent to using, in Lockjaw, 20Hz and 5 (or 6 but it feels like 5 to me) frames delay.

Try it, and then try to tell me that it's not a huge pain to use.

  10. i am not seeing how to unlock time attack or marathon. do you beat challenge to unlock the other modes?

Unfortunately, for foreigners, it seems that a different mode is available to play each day.

  12. Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Just got everything working last night. Is that confirmed Digital?

I don't know about confirmation, but it seems like so for everyone in #arika that plays.

  14. Actually, it seems like that may be the case for all players. Try checking the leaderboards for the game that isn't currently available and you'll notice they are sparsely populated. A few stragglers can get on the daily leaderboard for the game of the previous day by starting a game before the cycle ends, but I've never seen scores land on the board in advance. The text across locked modes looks like it says "Goodnight Japan," so I'm not sure this is just a foreigner lockout.

  15. haha. to play all modes everyday, we have to pay them [IMG]
if you do them, you can have the privilege of playing?also "????(digging tetris)" mode at special rates.

  16. That looks somewhat similar to an idea that I once had, which I know I mentioned to at least Digital, but I can't remember if I told anyone else:

The screen starts with 10 rows of garbage. Every time a row that was garbage is cleared, more garbage is added so that there's always 10 lines of it on the screen. Only lines that were garbage are counted towards the target. Once you have cleared enough lines of garbage, so that the remaining lines of it on screen add up to your target depth, no more garbage is added. Clock stops when the bottom row is cleared.

  17. Eighteen minutes? One thousand rows of garbage? That was way too long. I can't believe I watched the whole video.

I didn't bother to watch the whole thing as it was too long. Did the garbage rise speed up along the way?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just made a comparison from two parts in the video. The garbage rate looked identical.

I don't know Japanese, but based only on Firefox's status bar while hovering over buttons on that page, it looks like it requires a registration. Is there a guide for signing up on nicovideo.jp the way there is a guide to signing up on Tetris Online? Or should I just try the Spanish version of the UI (which I can almost read)?
