  6. So this is over now! Though I guess maybe Amnesia's still not home yet? [IMG]

It was lots of fun! We pretty much were too busy with real life to talk about it here, but lots of cool stuff happened. I broke the shirase 500 torikan twice in a row while Amnesia was playing beside me. Amnesia played something like 150 games of TGM3, getting an m2, qualified s6, and shirase s4. We actually played more TAP than Ti... Lots of Doubles mode of course, which is where the most exciting stuff happened. As people paying attention to the records threads will notice, I got a clear of 3:46 with Amnesia, and 3:59 with DeHackEd. Keep in mind, DeHackEd has only switched to stick the last month (!!) or so. They were able to complete it together as well! I got my second Master mode M, and many more in Death. Amnesia was extremely close to getting a Death M on several occasions, but never quite did it.

Aside from those popular modes, we played just about every other variation under the sun as "breaks" between serious games. This means everything from one-handed Death VS, to secret grades, to big mode, and especially the meeting favourite of Item mode. Hell, Amnesia even beat my Normal mode record, which might actually make me play it again. [IMG] Can't let him stay first on my machine!

Anyhow, here's mine and Amnesia's record Doubles video:

It's great to hear guys enjoyed yourself and thanks for the video. It's the first time that I've seen a Doubles game. Seems like an exciting game mode!

It is so so hard to play on MAME after 5 days on your Astrocity..

I have the feeling that the game doesn't react to my moves..

I get that feeling with MAME all the time, and I've never played on a real JAMMA board. If you ask me, MAME's input is just totally b0rked, even 99u4.

doubles is great, too bad there's only one type of it in tap and it's generally short... would have been nice to have a sort of another one but with raised difficulty... like, complete 500 levels but for last 100 levels both players hit 20g. the mode seems quite unpopular anyway, because most players were attracted to tap by death mode. and it's too bad the doubles got removen in tgm3.

Doubles mode in TAP operates on what DDR players call a "joint premium" basis: one credit pays for both players. Some DDR machines can be configured to run fewer songs per play in double than in versus.
