    Nice work!
I finally got it working properly; fullscreen, joystick support and vsync.

So what settings should I use to emulate TAP death?

    Rule: Classic2
    Mode: Speedmania

  3. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

Man, I've dled nullpomino yesterday because the lag on mame for tgm1 finished to kill me.
And I must say, that's the best tetris game ever !
I mean, you play crap, just press enter to instantly restart, you want to play big or 20g modes, just need one click.
You want to switch between tgm 1,2,3 or any other game, just a couple of secondes in the configuration menu, definitely a GREAT program.
    THANK YOU !!!
Now I can train hard for strasbourg :p

How do I change screenmode? I get 576p now, and that's unplayable as it is 50hz. It feels pretty laggy now, even without vsync.

I'm using slick (whatever that is).

  5. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

Not sure you can, currently. Switch to windowed mode.

Now that the game is hosted at Google Code, do you stillneed my mirrors? Anyway, here it is...

That's a lot of new modes.

Also, nice wordplay with the Physician mode.

Looks like a great new update/version, thanks to all involved.
Also nice to see the Google Code repository up and running.
I updated my nullpo page, also adding all important external links in one place.

I haven't played NullpoMino in a while, but it's nice to see so many new modes to play, especially the Dr. Mario, Puyo and Super Puzzle Fighter ones. I just have a couple of questions, one stupid and one curious.
First, what does the BGM Streaming option do for OGG files? Does it let you have a song with an intro then a second part that loops instead of just looping the entire file?
Second, are there plans to add a Bombliss/Tetris Blast mode in a future release?

  10. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

I can't say for sure, but I assume the OGG Streaming feature will allow it to stream the music from the disk instead of preloading all of the files or something.

HeboMAI requested Bombliss as well, so this is a definite possibility.

Combo Race is glitched; the Right S and Right Z patterns are identical.

  12. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

Thanks, I fixed it for the next version.

  13. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

Noob question: how can I train on the tgm2 m-roll using nullpomino ?
Also, phantom mania is great, but would be cool to have an invisible option for all other modes (the same way you can choose 20g or big mode)

  14. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

Unfortunately, you can't at the moment. That frustrates me, as I would like to use Nullpo more.

  15. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

Oh god, puyo puyo now? Awesome.

  16. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

    a much deserved bump.

  17. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

Is it impossible to use a joystick in the swing version?

  18. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

While we were away, a new version was released. You can grab 7.4 at http://code.google.com/p/nullpomino/downloads/list as always.

I'd imagine there is no joystick support for Swing given that -- as far as I know -- Java has no standard classes for handling joystick input. I think that the point of the Swing build was to be dependent only on Swing and other standard libraries, so it doesn't have joystick support.

  19. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

I have a question. I have made a music pack for NullpoMino, it is basically a whole bunch of SNES music.

With that said, would it be alright to share it on this forum and this thread? I'm just wondering just where the copyright meter is set at before I do anything of the sort.

  20. Re: NullpoMino - now with netplay!

While it is cool that you've offered to share, it is preferred that only content you own or have permission to distribute is linked on the forum. However, Digital's Termino Velocity theme contained cuts of various trance tracks for background music. On the other hand, packs that contain content from official Tetris games -- especially things like TGM sounds and music -- would almost certainly be removed if linked in public.

I'll let others weigh in on the issue. My guess is it wouldn't be in the end of the world, although personally I'd shy away from it. (Do what feels right in your heart! :p)

Hey, while we're on the topic of Nullpomino, Termino Velocity, and soundpacks...:
    Digital's Termino Velocity Sounds
    Tepples's Fake TGM Sounds

These aren't complete soundpacks, but they work pretty well alone or when supplemented with other sounds.

(I'm guessing something like Tepples's fake TGM pack is a-ok since they're just someone's approximations of some very short compositions rather than direct rips. The original .s3m tracker file is still floating around on the forums here.)
