Records: [TAP] Death

Thread in 'Competition' started by colour_thief, 9 Aug 2006.

  1. Not an improvement, but died at 430 at 3:14. My best before was 440 at 3:20. What time do I have to go into 400 so I can break the torikan without having to manual lock at all?

    Without manual locking you will need around 40 seconds for the last section. Try to aim for 400 @ about 02:45. And good luck! ^^

    Good job with the Gold SK. You should be able to get to 500 from what I've seen in that video.

    I doubt anyone would believe you needed to copy anything from me concerning Tetris. ^^

  5. If I train for another month I might be able to reach 500. Need to be lucky too :p

    This is the most astonishing tetris video I watched during the 2 last years. I had even little tears in my eyes after 400.

  7. Maybe I should do more Death.

    (m @ 3:18 or so, compared with my texmaster close call at 3:24:63)
    By the way, that video up there's some crazy shit.

  8. Took a whole day to finally reach 300 on the real game:

    I've been waiting this for months... reached 499 twice yesterday, so I needed this to happen.

    Great job COL! And nice improvement rednefed! A fierce fight between you and KevinDDR in a few game modes.

    I break 400 in TAP for the first time, though I didn't really get anywhere and died pretty damn quickly.

    I'm sure it's because I'm not used to the timing at all, but I have a terrible time rotating I pieces when they're on the left during Death 300, whether its IRS or just trying to rotate the damn thing period.

    I wasn't going to post until I hit 300, but I figure I don't play much death and my previous post is still in last place.

    Side note: I was looking for Ray's post on the leaderboard, I think you accidentally put his time under the name of gs68. (oh, now his sig makes sense.)

    Ray is gs68.

  16. Budster brings up a good point though. We should probably sync all leaderboard names to the current forum names of members. Sounds like a good project for a rainy day. :V

  17. Should we also purge the leaderboards of people who haven't posted in a couple years?

    Personally I would leave things like they are. There's no point deleting entries from inactive members.

    Would you delete entries from top players like DIGITAL? Some leaderboards don't have dates when the records were set. And deleting entries by people with records at the bottom of the table who stopped playing would make the leaderboards too intimidating for new players. Most leaderboards have a low number of players as is. But that's just me. ^^

    As for syncing the leaderboard names with the forum names I've just started the process.

    What I've changed so far:

    edo ---> Edo
    Radish ---> TWF
    gs68 ---> Ray Ayanami
    (RA) Red Star ---> Red Star
    Hector ---> timc?
    matt_hatter ---> matt_hatter83
    kotetsu ---> kotetsu213
    Rosti_LFC ---> Rosti LFC

    And a lot more small changes all over the place...

    Let me know about other changes were members use completely new forum names.

  19. Genuine scores are genuine scores. I think it sort of reduces the quality of the leaderboards if they're more "rankings of active western players" rather than "rankings of all western players".
