Another year! Time to see how far we've come as a community! Our player base grew from 59 to 76. Quite a nice growth if I do say so myself. Welcome new players! May you all become grandmasters some day. Again a number of Gm players comparable to the total amount of players last year! Take a step back and appreciate how far we've come in just a year. And all the best to everyone in reaching new heights in the year to come!
Thanks for the update! The following should be added to the list of new TGM GM players: jujube wksrdg TWF Ai Looks like some other things might not be 100% correct yet. I'll try to look at it later.
Ack! I knew I'd forget something. The charts were right, the text was wrong. I've corrected it. Incidentally the charts and number were slightly inflated last year due to a spreadsheet error. Basically, M and GM players were counted twice. It should be all good in the current one. I'm so sorry guys! Seems I missed people who were non-Gm players in 2008 who reached Gm in 2009. Everything should be good now. If people want to look at my stats here they are: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pqGyH9VQpUtcI51sNJk2yQA&output=html
Awesome. Thanks for working this out again, colour_thief! Now we just need to crank up the M/Gm ratio for 2010
I want to help out with that!!! OK LET'S DO IT I FEEL INCREDIBLE!!!!!!11 My TGM1 GM is also ridiculously delayed, haha. :'D I only know one place in Kyoto with TGM1 and the sticks on that cab are 8-way, Seimitsu and reeeeaaaallllyyy crappy. If there's only that, I don't feel like paying money for playing TGM1. Let's see if I can talk to the arcade or find somewhere else! \o/ Don't like doing the whole emulator thing when I am in the country where I can put money in the TGM cabs.
While I would like to see TAP TGM+ listed, I don't expect it to be, but I'd like to know why it's missing. Is it because TGM+ activity is quite low, or some other reason(s)?
A number of other modes would have to be included as well. The above are the main leaderboards most players post in. TGM+ isn't popular enough. And I think colour_thief just thought it's wasn't really necessary as of yet. Even the main Ti modes aren't listed. Thanks for the link colour_thief. I really thought you would do it at the end of last year. I was almost begging for it in some posts. But I can understand you being busy with other stuff and all. Well you have a whole new year ahead of you now. Make sure you do it. And how was your encounter with the Japanese TGM players? Who did you meet and do you have anything else you want to share with us?
That's exactly it. It's less culturally relevant than the other modes. Really there's no shortage of modes to pick, so I chose to focus on the common ones just about everybody participates in. It also doesn't help that you can't get grades in it.
