Atari I'd say.
But either really. Probably whichever is cheaper.

http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif Of course but it depends on the proce difference also.
I'd pay extra for a better game but how much extra ? I dunno.
Whats the general percaption as to the better game ?

Any thoughts in the prices I should be looking for ?
There are two on ebay now.
eBay: TETRIS JAMMA BOARD TESTED AND WORKING (http://cgi.ebay.ie/TETRIS-JAMMA-BOARD-TESTED-AND-WORKING_W0QQitemZ250223874439QQihZ015QQcategoryZ13 718QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p 1638.m122)
eBay: Jamma PCB - TETRIS - 100% Fully Working (http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260218726960&ssPageName=STRK_3AMEWA_3AIT&ih=016)
*EDIT* I can't afford Ti or TAP http://www.tetrisconcept.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

Have you considered TGM1? I've seen it for under 100 USD once or twice on eBay.

Is eBay pretty much the only place to get Tetris PCBs ?

What about this ? Good price ? (Sega)
eBay: eBay Sega Tetris (http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-GAME-JAMMA-JAP-TETRIS_W0QQitemZ170087856117QQihZ007QQcategoryZ137 16QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQ_trksidZp1638.m118.l124 7QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting)

Well, I meant of the two games he was talking about.
Though, I'd like to point out that older games aren't always cheaper - they can also be more expensive just because they're older.
TGM1 can be found rather cheaply.

On eBay ? Is it Jamma ?

Pretty much every arcade game since the mid-80's or so is JAMMA.

Ok. So better to wait for a TGM1 pcb if there isn't much difference int eh price over the Atari/Sega 1988 pcbs.
eBay the only place for that ? There are none there now or in the completed listings. Must be rare enough.

170$ on coinopexpress for TGM1 pcb only.
Dear enough.

ebay is not your only option, it's probably not even the best option.
you can check the following sites:
http://www.sophia-corp.jp/ (http://www.sophia-corp.jp/default.htm)
http://www.arcadegames.se/ (http://www.arcadegames.se/default.htm)
oh, and have a look at the japanese yahoo auctions.

well.. for arcadegames.se you're better off reading the description on the site.
about yahoo japan, it's like ebay but in japanese.
you can use a bidding service like www.shoppingmalljapan.com (http://www.shoppingmalljapan.com/default.htm) or www.rinkya.com (http://www.rinkya.com/default.htm) to bid on auctions even though it says they don't ship internationally.

I picked up my TGM1 PCB from http://www.sophia-corp.jp/ (http://www.sophia-corp.jp/default.htm). I found them very reliable and easy to deal with, dispite the language barrier. Heh, their customer care is so good they even sent me an email a week later saying they'd had a TAP PCB in stock and would i be interested:)

coinopexress...
Not only do they tend to overcharge, but they often list items "in stock" that they don't actually have. Then, they take your money and start looking for the game, resulting in huge delays and often an eventual refund when they can't find it. They're really dodgy, I'd never use them.
I've only heard good things from the other sites listed in this thread though.

Thanks Guys. I'll steer clear of Coinopexpress.
Sophia Corp got back to me and a TGM1 with shipping "TOTAL : JPY24,500".
Thats about 155€. How does that sound ?

I doubt you'd be able to find it at a cheaper price without some serious searching. Even then, it probably wouldn't be that much cheaper.

I see a handful of TGM1 being sold by Starpine on Yahoo Auctions Japan for 12,000JPY. They have TGM1 listings rather often. They usually are up for 12,000 to 15,000 JPY.

Yep, it goes a bit cheaper on Yahoo Auctions like Kitaru mentioned. But you can't bid there unless you live in Japan... There are ways around this, like having a friend in Japan, or paying a company to bid for you. (Yes there are companies that make their living by being proxy bidders.) Apparently sometime later this year Yahoo Auctions and ebay are integrating or something? I'm not really up on my knowledge of the best way to buy stuff from there unfortunately. It's been years since I have.

That's one way to say it. Another way is, Yahoo Auctions was bought out. Another way is, Yahoo Auctions was bought out by the mighty Ebay worldwide conglomerate. And even another way is, Yahoo Auctions was bought out by the mighty Ebay worldwide conglomerate for giving Google a foot massage.
It's just what I heard.

Again. Much appreciated guys. Might gp with that so. What kind of prices does a TAP pcb sell for ?
colour_thief
03-18-2008, 03:45 PM
TAP sells for much more, unfortunately. If you paid $600 (excluding any shipping fees) it would be a bargain.

Wow. That is pricey. I'll stick with TGM1 for now so.
