Tetris Party Competitive Nightly Play

OK... I just played someone with a 2835 rating. I can't take this anymore. Earlier, I played someone with a 9600 rating and we went 1-1. He left after the second game... I'm assuming to not destroy his ranking. I need to play someone good. It appears that the friend code stuff doesn't work, so here's my idea:

- We all need to make a new Mii that we use solely for playing each other so nobody will care about ratings.
- Give the Mii a Brown Afro and sunglasses, so we all know it is someone from the boards.
- Pick a time that everyone can play each night? Let's start tonight at 10 PM EST and see how it goes?

Hopefully, we can start getting some good practice in.

We're trying to organize something over in the friend code thread, but why don't you think friend codes work? Do you want to play 2 player or 6 player?

I sat down and played a few rounds with someone who was equal rating to me (~7500)
we went 50/50 for quite a few matches and both of us left <7000.

the rating system sucks. it encourages advanced players to pick on newbs.

equal players should walk away with the points they sat with if its a 50/50 split..

thats 8 MST for me, i may make it tonight or i may not thats movie time with the wife. after 9 MST and she's usually in bed.

Find an IRC or something (*coughtetrischat*) and use that. Worked fine for Tetris DS. A bit less straightforward to play on a Wii while at a computer, but easily doable.
