It's a little slow but it'll give you a feel for how to play the mode. Using Hold between levels to skip past unwanted pieces is essential.

It's been more than 6 months since you shared the video and if I'm not mistaken it was your best then. Sorry about the wrong information. it shouldn't be too difficult to get the top spot if you focus on the mode. ^^

Can you believe that world record holder にく is actively playing right now too? Just today he improved his Classic record to 3:16:78.

I agree, that's some insane play right there. Clearly a lot more difficult than the Card Captor Sakura game. It would take me forever to memorize the whole thing and get it right.

EDIT:

All regular stages where completed within 10 seconds and gave him 10 bonus seconds. No bonus time was collected for EX 7 and EX 1 and 6 were good for 5 extra seconds.

I believe you have to clear the first 20 stages in 5 minutes or less, without skipping any stages by holding start. Really, someone needs to confirm this and stick it on the wiki.

I've been messing with this mode off and on, but I'm having trouble getting anywhere. I can clear most of the early stages skipping few pieces.

Any advice on a route through the game that doesn't involve me mashing the hold button like a madman at any part of it? An all that doesn't involve me skipping a very large number of pieces at any one time.

My highest stage is 20. and I don't skip any pieces until stage 6 or so.

i start running into trouble quickly after then though. also i hate that stage with the roll roll. it always seems to make the piece i'm about to win with screw up.
