Curious that they had a poll up about "what platform you last played Tetris on" and included "Mac" even though there is no Tetris product for OS X.

    Very curious...

Around the time that the original brick Game Boy was hot sh*t, Tetris for Mac OS 6 was available. It had sound only if you ran it on one of the black-and-white Macs. And the copy of Tetris Elements that I bought has a Mac installer that uses CarbonLib.

OMG, I've only began to notice it..

    TERTRIS! w00t! a new game!?

  9. The poll didn't include DS. Is that supposed to fall under "Game Boy" or "Mobile Device"? I picked Game Boy.

No, it's supposed to fall under Dies Irae [IMG]

Well at least it's better than coming down with tetanus.

  13. wow, i can't believe it. ttc updates after over a year of idling-- and i'm away. awesome. at least something happened. maybe someone was messing with dreamweaver over at the ttc office?

  14. Yeah, this is a bit odd. It was not open for very long at all. By the time I realised it was even open, posted something about it on TC, its closed again [IMG]

Also no I never noticed the typo - Hell funny!

Any reason's why it closed besides lack of any real content?

Dont get me wrong its was nice and colourfull quite pleasing to the eye, but not a hell of alot to read and learn about.

    Also:

sihumchai its funny you posted that link to The Taxonomy that was my old Tetris hang out awile back before the forum got attacked by spam.

  15. Actually the history part was quite interesting as it explained some recent developments. Apparently Tetris is now wholly owned, so we'll no longer see ELORG showing up in the rights screen.

IMHO, The design was pretty awful and obviously thrown together on-the-fly. It was built on joomla and most of the content just looked like random filler.

  17. Well maybe I am not as harsh, simple and colourful, I liked the classic feel it had.

But hey, its not for everyone.

Conspicuously absent was a legal page. "Copyright 2006 The Tetris Company" linked back to the home page, which disappointed me. I wanted to see how TTC was officially wording its specious claim of U.S. and international copyright on tetromino, erm, "Tetrimino" game mechanics on its public web site, especially in light of a few US Copyright Office circulars.
